Iggy's RI Trunk or Treat Block Party

This October, ghosts, goblins, superheroes and princesses are invited to take over Oakland Beach. On Friday, October 23, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Iggy’s RI will host a free Trunk or Treat Block Party, bringing families together for an evening filled with costumes, candy, food, games, contests and community spirit. The event will feature more than 20 decorated trunks for children to explore and trick-or-treat at, along with 15+ local vendors, kid-friendly games and crafts, costume contests, and a competition to crown the event's Best Trunk. But this isn't just a parking-lot Trunk or Treat. With festivities taking place throughout the Oakland Beach area, Iggy’s is creating a true Halloween block-party experience where families can spend the evening eating, playing, trick-or-treating and celebrating together. Guests can enjoy food from Iggy’s gluten-free food truck, Cookie Chow featuring gluten-free cookies, and cider and beer from Newport Craft. Iggy’s full-service restaurant will also be open throughout the event. The celebration will also have a purpose beyond the Halloween fun. Iggy’s RI is partnering with Plates with Purpose to collect dry and canned goods for those in need. Guests who bring a donation will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes. Families are encouraged to come in costume, bring their trick-or-treat bags and prepare for an evening of Halloween fun along Warwick's Oakland Beach. The event is free to attend.
